Joseph Housley’s books and chapbooks include Dogsbody (Orphan, 2007), The Things Left Lying Out (Orphan, 2005), Gamers: Writers, Artists & Programmers on the Pleasures of Pixels (Soft Skull, 2004), and Loudly (Orphan, 2003). Writing of his has appeared in The New York Quarterly, McSweeney’s, Fulcrum, Sixth Finch, and Sink Review, among others. Raised in New England and Mississippi, he was educated at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and the MFA Creative Writing Program at The New School. His current projects include finishing work on his second novel and a book of poems about adolescent violence. He lives and works in New York City.
